Kristin Arend (former post-doctoral researcher Purdue University) received the Best Professional Paper Award at the Annual Meeting of the Indiana Chapter of the American Fisheries Society. The paper was entitled: “Evaluating and forecasting effects of hypoxia on yellow perch habitat suitability in central Lake Erie.” Co-authors included: K. Arend, T. Hook, S. Ludsin, D. Rucinski, J. DePinto, and D. Scavia.
James Roberts (former PhD student University of Michigan) received the Best Student Paper Award at the Annual Meeting of the Michigan Chapter of the American Fisheries Society. The paper was entitled: Implications of hypoxia for yellow perch habitat quality in Lake Erie’s central basin: a spatially-explicit bioenergetics modeling approach. Co-authors included: James J. Roberts, Tomas O. Höök , Stuart A. Ludsin, Steven A. Pothoven, and Henry A. Vanderploeg.
